Moby Dick Final Graphic Version

As well as designing the three book jackets with the illustrator I was asked to design one graphic solution for the book. Above is what I came up with for 'Moby Dick'.

Here is the third design for 'Moby Dick'. After discussing what should be the final one me and Dan decided this was the strongest of the three book jackets we designed. I feel it has a strong effect on the audience with the contrast of the black and red.

For this brief I was given the task of working with two illustrators in my class. One of the illustrators was Daniel Young and the books we were given were 'Moby Dick' and 'The Name of The Rose'. We were asked to design three final designs for each book, above is the first for 'Moby Dick'.
